FROM COL DEI BALDI TO LA CIASELA

The unparalleled scenery on offer from the terrace of the Ristoro La Ciasela makes this hike one of the most breath-taking in the area. Although the route is not especially tough, it does have lots of ups and down so should not be taken lightly. When you get to Col dei Baldi, take the little road which is always clear to see until you get to the first junction. Turn left then, a short distance after that, right, following a trail to Col Fioret. At the beginning the path climbs gently but it soon begins to get steeper and steeper. Once you get to the pass where, in winter, the Fernazza and Salere slopes meet, with a final push you can reach the Ristoro La Ciasela. Go back the same way you came, as far as the junction you passed on the initial route just below Col dei Baldi, where you now turn right and continue towards Tiezza. From here, keep walking downhill to the point where the Civetta and Lavadoi slopes meet. At the crossroads, follow the signpost on the right to Piani di Pezzè and then take the path called “Triol delle Gaiole” which will take you to Piani di Pezzè and the cable car back down to Alleghe.
