A snowshoe walk is one of the best ways of experiencing the magic of the winter, as you glide through snow-covered meadows and woods, listen to the sounds and silence of nature and breathe in the crisp, pure mountain air.
Alleghe has many different trails and in the winter a team of experienced professionals is on hand to take you on excursions where you can experience unforgettable scenery, learn more about the Alpine vegetation and explore some of the most stunning corners of the valley.
Snowshoe walks are even more magical at night, immersed in almost total silence and with only the moonlight on the snow to guide you. Every Thursday and Saturday evening, Alleghe Nights at Piani di Pezzè combines a magical moonlit snowshoe walk with a delicious dinner in a warm, welcoming refuge.
ALLEGHE NIGHTS
Every Thursday and Saturday from 27 December to 9 March the cable car from the centre of Alleghe to Piani di Pezzè (1500 metres) will be open in the evening, so you can reach the Alleghe Nights refuges and enjoy a magical evening in the snow.
Alleghe Nights is sport, good food, fun, magical evenings under a starry sky!

Motorheads, at long last Alleghe has something for you too: Sled Tech, the only snowmobile school certified by the FMI in Italy and run by federation coach Massimo “Max” Tosi.
Sled Tech, in collaboration with Alleghe Funivie, has opened the “Col dei Baldi” snowmobile circuit at 2000 m, giving the public the chance to try this exciting sport. The course is easy to reach, located just a short distance from the arrival station of the cable car which leaves from Piani di Pezzè.
White Sled Selva Circuit rents out snowmobiles (to over 18s only), as well as organising lessons of different levels where they teach you everything from the first principles to competitive riding (Sled Tech). The courses are tailored to the participants’ level and teach the basics: the driving position, starting, accelerating, braking, going uphill, downhill and bends, and even how to jump.
White Sled Selva also organises guided tours in the evening in conjunction with Alleghe Nights. These magical tours, followed by dinner in a refuge, are run by expert guides. First participants attend a short course then undergo a quick driving test to ensure everyone is totally safe.
MOUNTAIN RESTAURANTS
Experience great hospitality and a warm welcome in the Dolomites. Visit the refuges on the slopes where you can enjoy a relaxing break, some typical home cooking, a quick sandwich or a high-altitude cocktail.
Skiing in Alleghe is more than just scenery and breathtaking runs, these mountains also serve up ultra-fresh local food in unique locations. From traditional family-run chalets to restaurants with à la carte menus, you can enjoy a genuine Dolomite experience in one of the many mountain restaurants.
